The WSET Level 2 Award in spirits is meant for individuals wishing to develop their expertise in spirits and liqueurs. If you have been working in the industry for a while and looking to progress this course can help you reach your potential. 
 
You will be tasting approximately 30 different spirits, from whiskies, vodka, gin, tequilas, liqueurs and rum. You’ll also learn about the fundamental production methods and principal raw materials discovering how they are used to make the key spirit styles. You’ll also explore the key practices and principles of serving spirits and the use of spirits in cocktails.
 
We offer this course as a three day in person course and online course. Both online and in person include all recommended tastings.
 
The in-person course runs for three days with the exam scheduled for the final afternoon of the course. Participants will receive their course material in advance, and it is recommended that all candidates allow 11 + hours of preparation to read the course text prior to the course days.
 
The online course runs for 5 weeks online and can be completed in your own time and at your own pace. Whilst 5 weeks of tutor supervision is provided, access to the course is avialable for 12 months from the start date. You will be sent a sample pack of the recommended tasting samples to suppliment your learning.
 
Please be aware online course enrollments close 1 week prior to the course commencement. 
 
Exam's can be completed online date is provisionally scheduled for 26th January, 2024 or by other arrangement.
 
This course will involve evaluation and tasting of spirits. Therefore, you must be of legal drinking age to enrol. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
